Sri Lankan Americans for Social Justice is an intergenerational group of people of Sri Lankan descent in the U.S.

We explore how institutionalized racism, privilege, sexism, and other forms of inequity work in the U.S. and Sri Lanka.

We are committed to decolonizing and dismantling oppressive systems on individual, interpersonal, and institutional levels.

We are compassionate towards ourselves and others.

Solidarity Statement

We urge the Sri Lankan diasporic community in the U.S. to act.

This is the time for us to speak up and work against systemic racism in the U.S. By staying silent, we are not remaining neutral - instead, we are actively supporting the oppression of Black and minority communities. Not only is it our obligation to work against oppression and discrimination, but it is also an investment in our own communities.
